Neuron-Specific Marker Genes
A database of neuron-specific marker genes and expression patterns
Using fluorescent membrane labels driven by sparsely expressed promoters, we can see details of neural development, usually at subcellular resolution. Our publicly accessible Neuronal Promoter Database catalogs the molecular genetic details and imaged expression patterns from transgenic embryos expressing these markers.
We invite the community to submit promoters for characterization. Promoters submitted to the WormGUIDES consortium will be imaged using diSPIM, lineaged and the expression identity will be shared with the community via our promoter database.
